Remembering Dr. David Beachey

With great sadness, we announce the passing of our esteemed faculty member, Dr. David Beachey. He peacefully passed away surrounded by family on May 15, 2024.

Dr. Beachey began his career as a medical physicist at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre in 2001 before joining the Department of Radiation Oncology at the University of Toronto in 2005 as a lecturer. Renowned for his expertise in linac quality control and his dedication to resident teaching, Dr. Beachey was not only a brilliant medical physicist but also a beloved colleague and mentor who left a lasting impact on the community of Radiation Oncology and Medical Physics.

Our deepest condolences go to Dr. Beachey’s family, friends, and colleagues. Our community will fondly remember him for his kindness, knowledge, and sense of humor.
