The University of Toronto's Department of Radiation Oncology's (UTDRO) goal is to be known as the educator of choice internationally for Radiation Medicine professionals and researchers. UTDRO offers the largest and best known Radiation Medicine education programs in Canada, with significant strengths including: the depth and breadth of experts in various fields teaching continuously improving curricula; the pace at which our programs adopt new technologies; and the range of programs available.

Our continuing Education programs promote the dissemination of new knowledge and foster the adoption of best practices generated by UTDRO academic programs.

Graduate Programs

Our Department partners with U of T’s Institute of Medical Sciences to offer research-based Master's of Science and Doctor of Philosophy Degrees. 
I was born in 1911 on a dairy farm near Toronto. My father died when I was young—this had a profound impact on me. I knew that there wasn’t anything I could do, but from this early age I understood that education would enable me, in time, to help others. I began to take my education seriously, and excelled.
