Research Day 2025 Presentation Guidelines
The information below is for the 2025 UTDRO / STARS21 Research Day Presentation Guidelines, which will be held in-person on Tuesday, May 13, 2025, from 9 AM - 6 PM EDT.
All Presenters
- Event registration is mandatory for all presenters. If you haven't already done so, please register for Research Day here.
- A Program Schedule will be available closer to the event, with your presentation time. Please make sure to double check that your information is correct, and request any needed changes at radiation.oncology@utoronto.ca.
Oral Presentation Instructions
- Each oral presentation is 7 minutes long (5-minute presentation, 2 minutes for questions). Please be mindful of time when planning your presentation.
- Presenters are expected to use this Research Day Oral Presentation Template.
- To ensure a smooth transition between presentations, we kindly ask that you use this template and do not change the template master formatting. However, adding logos of your affiliation, additional references, or colors etc. is permitted.
- In your template, you will see a Conflict of Interest Declaration slide after the title slide. This slide is required and must be used to notify the audience of any real or apparent conflict(s) of interest that may have a direct bearing on the subject matter presented. If not applicable, indicate on the slide “Nothing to declare”.
- Presentation submission deadline: Sunday, May 4, 2025, at 11:59 EDT
- Please name your MS PowerPoint Poster Presentation slides with SUBJECT:
Research Day 2025_Oral [1/2/3/4]_Your Full Name (e.g. Research Day 2025_Oral 2_John Doe)- Submit your presentation by email to radiation.oncology@utoronto.ca with the same SUBJECT.
- Make sure you check the Program Schedule, when it is posted, for your presentation time.
Poster Presentation Instructions
- Each poster presentation is 5 minutes long (3-minute presentation, 2 minutes for questions). Please be mindful of time when planning your presentation.
- Presenters are expected to make a 1-slide digital poster.
- Please use this Research Day poster presentation template.
- To ensure a smooth transition between presentations, we kindly ask that you use this template and do not add any additional slides or change the template master formatting, e.g. readjust the title position. However, adding logos of your affiliation, additional references, or colors etc. is permitted, and we would allow some flexibility to adjust/condense some of the content parts, if necessary.
- Only one digital poster is permitted per trainee.
- Digital posters are presented via a 55" standing monitors, aspect ratio of 16:9, 3840 x 2160 (HDMI).
- All posters should be presented in a way that is accessible to any scientist as poster judges may not be content experts.
- Following the presentation, judges would rank the abstract, poster, and presentation.
