Congratulations to Drs. Meredith Giuliani and Alex Louie on receiving 2026 ASTRO honours!

Dr. Meredith Giuliani has received the 2026 ASTRO Mentorship Award in recognition of her exceptional dedication to mentoring and commitment to supporting the next generation of radiation oncology professionals.

The ASTRO Mentorship Awards recognize extraordinary role models in radiation oncology who have excelled as mentors by demonstrating outstanding commitment to the professional development of their mentees as clinicians, educators, and researchers. The awards celebrate and promote the important contributions of mentors in advancing the field of radiation oncology.

Dr. Alex Louie has been named one of the 39 Fellows of the American Society for Radiation Oncology (ASTRO) for 2026, recognizing his significant contributions to the Society and the field of radiation oncology through research, education, patient care, and leadership.

The ASTRO Fellow designation (FASTRO) honors individuals who have made significant contributions to the Society through committee work, volunteer service and to the field of radiation oncology in research, education, patient care or leadership. Designees also have been an active, international and emeritus member of ASTRO for at least 15 years, giving the equivalent of 10 years of service to ASTRO through committee service and similar activities.

Please join us in congratulating Drs. Giuliani and Louie on these well-deserved achievements. Both will be honoured at the Awards Ceremony during ASTRO’s 68th Annual Meeting in Boston this September.
