From April 7 to 11, our 17th annual Clinical and Experimental Radiobiology course 2025 took place at the University of Toronto’s St. George campus, wrapping up with a final exam on April 25. This was the third year in a hybrid format, which allowed us to welcome nearly 80 learners from a diverse group.
Participants included UTDRO trainees, University of Toronto graduate students, and residents from external programs. We were excited to see attendees joining us from across Canada and internationally from the US, Spain, Saudi Arabia, Chile, and Barbados.
Led by Dr. Marianne Koritzinsky (Associate Professor), the course featured 24 lectures, 9 tutorials, and 4 workshops, delivered by an internationally renowned teaching team of 19 UTDRO faculty members and one external guest lecturer. The program offered a comprehensive overview of radiation biology, with a strong focus on content directly relevant to clinical radiation oncology.
We’re also pleased to share that this year’s course was formally recognized by the Continuing Professional Development office and accredited for professional learning across several medical education systems.
A special thank-you to our platinum sponsors, Elekta and Varian, for their generous support of the course.
Offered each spring, the Clinical and Experimental Radiobiology course continues to be a key part of UTDRO’s continued education program. It’s open to anyone looking to deepen their understanding of the science behind radiation oncology. Click here to learn more about the course.
