Research Synopsis

My research focuses on optimizing the treatment quality for genitourinary cancer with the application of advanced planning and image guidance technology. I have performed a number of studies to develop and to validate the reliability and efficacy of different methods and/or strategies employed in various steps of the radiotherapy process for the improvement of treatment precision. This includes multi-modality image registration to improve accuracy of target delineation, generation of personalized treatment volume, identification of optimal image guidance strategies and development of adaptive strategy. Personalized radiation medicine is currently my active area of research, with the emphasis on assessing the performance of the tools, developing workflow, defining criteria for intervention and quantifying resource burden.
