Dr. Ranjan Subramani
Dr. Ranjan Subramani was born and raised in Tamil Nadu, the southernmost state of India. He completed his residency in Radiation Oncology at the renowned Tata Memorial Centre, Mumbai, graduating with a Gold Medal in the university examinations (2023). Following his residency, he served as a Senior Resident at Tata Memorial Centre until December 2024.
In March 2025, Dr. Subramani joined the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre as a Clinical Fellow in Head and Neck Radiation Oncology. With extensive experience managing oral cavity cancers - prevalent in the Indian subcontinent - he is now focused on advancing his expertise in oropharyngeal cancers, which are more common in North America. His fellowship is aimed at deepening his clinical and academic understanding of head and neck malignancies, with particular interest in the specialized techniques and protocols practiced at Princess Margaret.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Subramani maintains a strong connection to his agricultural roots. Having grown up with a deep appreciation for farming, he aspires to integrate large-scale agricultural pursuits into his future plans alongside his medical career in India.

Dr. Riham Abdelaziz
Dr. Riham Abdelaziz is originally from Egypt and is completing a joint fellowship in the Palliative Radiotherapy and Oligometastases Program (PROP) and Thoracic Oncology at the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre.
Dr. Ajay Thomas Alex
Dr. Ajay Thomas Alex completed his medical training at the prestigious Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC), Pune, followed by residency in Radiation Oncology at the Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai. He has strong clinical and research interests in particle therapy, pediatric oncology, neuro-oncology, and breast cancer.
He is thrilled to join the Pediatrics and CNS Oncology Fellowship at the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre /SickKids Hospital, where he looks forward to refining his skills in advanced radiotherapy techniques and making meaningful contributions to both patient care and research. Outside of work, he enjoys exploring new places and playing cricket.
Dr. Ege Babadagli
Dr. Ege Babadagli completed his undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering with a Biomedical Engineering specialization and his doctoral degree in Operations Research at University of Alberta. His doctoral research focused on large-scale optimization with applications in automated treatment planning in prostate brachytherapy. He completed his medical degree at Dalhousie University and Radiation Oncology residency at University of Ottawa. He is currently completing an Area of Focused Competence (AFC) fellowship in brachytherapy at Princess Margaret Cancer Centre, focusing on genitourinary and gynecologic malignancies. His research interests include automated treatment planning and healthcare process optimization.
In his spare time, he plays bossa nova tunes on tenor saxophone, draws caricatures, and follows European football, particularly his hometown team Fenerbahçe SK.
Dr. Sam David
Dr. Sam David completed his medical training at Christian Medical College, Vellore, followed by an MD in Radiation Oncology at Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai. With a deep passion for advancing cancer care and research, he focuses on pediatric, adolescent, and young adult (AYA) cancers, women’s cancers, sarcomas, and gastrointestinal oncology.
He is currently pursuing a clinical fellowship in Gastrointestinal Oncology and MR-LINAC at Princess Margaret Hospital, Toronto. Beyond his clinical work, Dr. Sam enjoys traveling and exploring new cuisines. He also finds joy in listening to music and never misses a chance to dance to Bollywood tunes.
Dr. Ian Gerard
Dr. Ian J. Gerard completed his medical training at McGill University in 2020 and specialty training in Radiation Oncology also at McGill in 2025. Prior to his medical training he did extensive training and research in the physical sciences having completed a Bachelor's of Medical Biophysics at Western University, a CAMPEP accredited Master's degree in Medical Radiation Physics, at McGill University, and a PhD in Biomedical Engineering, also at McGill University. His clinical interests are in the treatment of hepatobiliary and gastrointestinal cancers, with a research focus on translational studies for hepatic pain reduction from radiation therapy and the use of SBRT for both malignant and benign diseases.
Dr. Suman Ghosh
Dr Suman Ghosh is a Gold medalist in Radiation Oncology from Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai. He describes himself as a curious and compassionate person, with keen academic interest in Precision Oncology and Quality-of-life.
He is thrilled about his clinical research fellowship in Breast and Neuro-Oncology at Odette Cancer Centre, Toronto. During his stay in Canada, he is looking forward to travelling to new places, meeting new people and tasting new foods!
Dr. Hsin-pei (Spencer) Hu
Dr. Hsin-pei (Spencer) Hu completed his medical training at Western University and completed his Radiation Oncology residency at McMaster University. Prior to his medical training, he completed an undergraduate and master’s degrees in biomedical and clinical engineering at University of Toronto. He is excited to return to University of Toronto for his AFC Brachytherapy Fellowship for Genitourinary and Gynecologic brachytherapy at Odette Cancer Centre.
Outside of medicine, Spencer enjoys running, traveling, and watching sports.
Dr. Rufus Jesudass
Dr. Rufus Jesudass is a clinical oncologist from Malaysia who holds a Master of Clinical Oncology (MClinOnc) degree from University of Malaya (UM). His professional interests include patient advocacy, medical education, global oncology, and cancer economics. He is excited and driven to learn more through this fellowship training to improve cancer care in Malaysia as well as globally. Outside of work, he enjoys history, traveling, and exploring new places and cultures.
Dr. Ankita Kanoja
Dr. Ankita Kanoja completed her Doctor of Medicine (MD) in Radiation Oncology at Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai.
Her research interests include hematologic oncology, neuro-oncology, sarcoma, and brachytherapy. She is excited to join the Hematology and Neuro-Oncology programs at Princess Margaret Hospital, where she will also be involved in the Brain Metastasis Clinic program. This opportunity allows her to further refine her expertise in advanced radiotherapy techniques and contribute meaningfully to both research and patient care.
Outside of work, she enjoys exploring new places and sketching.
Dr. Anna Kaplinsky
Dr. Anna Kaplinsky is a radiation oncologist specializing in head and neck cancers. She completed her residencies in both Radiation Oncology and Medical Oncology at Sheba Medical Center in Israel, where she also served as coordinator of the oncology residency program and led educational initiatives for trainees. In July 2025, Dr. Kaplinsky began a fellowship in Head and Neck Radiation Oncology at Princess Margaret Cancer Centre. Her clinical and research interests focus on integrating radiotherapy and systemic therapy in the management of head and neck malignancies and enhancing treatment precision, with a particular emphasis on optimizing treatment efficacy and understanding toxicity profiles in elderly patients.
Dr. Lori Belle Lofranco
Dr. Lori Belle Lofranco completed her residency training in Radiation Oncology at The Medical City in the Philippines in 2022 and went on to practice as a radiation oncologist. She is joining Princess Margaret Cancer Center as a Head and Neck Fellow and looks forward to learning from her colleagues and collaborating on research. She hopes to bring the knowledge and experience she gains back to the Philippines to help advance cancer care in her home country.
Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, working out, and running. She has completed four marathons and hopes to join more races in the future.
Dr. Michael McMahon
Dr. Michael McMahon is from Belfast, Northern Ireland and completed his medical degree in the University of Cambridge before returning home to train in Clinical Oncology. He is interested in both radiation therapy and systemic therapy, but is especially excited to develop expertise in radiation treatment in Toronto. He has particular interest in looking after patients with sarcoma and haematological malignancies.
Dr. Elena Riggenbach
Dr. Elena Riggenbach is a Swiss radiation oncologist with a primary clinical and research focus on gynecologic oncology and brachytherapy across a broad range of tumor entities. She completed the majority of her specialty training at the University Hospital of Bern, Switzerland. She is an active member of the EORTC Gynaecological Cancer Group and serves on the executive boards of the Swiss scientific and teaching associations in radiation oncology.
Dr. Riggenbach is starting her fellowship in Gynecologic Oncology at UTDRO, where she looks forward to working with an inspiring team and supervisor, further developing her clinical skills, and advancing research projects.
Outside of work, she enjoys exploring the Greater Toronto Area by bike, attending running classes and CrossFit workouts, and sailing on Lake Ontario.
Dr. Alexander Rühle
Dr. Alexander Rühle is a consultant for radiation oncology the University Medical Center Leipzig, Germany. After graduating from Heidelberg University, with academic training experiences in Zurich, Basel, and Cairns, he earned his MD at the German Cancer Research Center in 2019, and did his residency training program at the University Medical Center Freiburg.
Dr. Rühle’s clinical research interests encompass the unique challenges and treatment paradigms for older adults with head and neck cancer, as well as the management of oligometastatic head and neck cancer.
He is looking forward to his fellowship in Head and Neck Cancer Radiation Oncology and aims to bring the knowledge he gains back to Germany.
Dr. Daniel Schep
Dr. Daniel Schep attended medical school at the Schulich School of Medicine at Western University, before completing his Radiation Oncology residency at McMaster University. Prior to his medical training, he obtained his Masters of Medical Biophysics from the University of Toronto, which is where he met his wife, and they are both very excited to move back to Toronto. He has an interest in stereotactic radiation, palliative care, and illness communication, and he will be working with the CNS and thoracic radiation oncology teams at the Odette Cancer Centre.
Outside of work, he enjoys hiking, bicycling, watching movies, and spending time with his wife and daughter.
Dr. Terence Tang
Dr. Terence Tang grew up in Toronto but completed his medical training at the University of Ottawa. He then moved to London, Ontario, for his residency in Radiation Oncology at Western University. He is excited to be back in his hometown to complete a fellowship in CNS, GI and GU malignancies at the Odette Cancer Centre.
Dr. Henry Wong
Dr. Henry Wong completed his clinical oncology training in 2024 at the Princess Margaret Hospital, Hong Kong. He has clinical and research interests in the application of precision radiotherapy in patients with metastatic disease, supportive care for cancer treatment-related skin toxicities and cancer survivorship. He will be joining as a gastrointestinal radiation oncology fellow at the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre.
