We are excited to welcome our three newest Radiation Oncology Fellows for 2026, who have recently joined UTDRO.
Dr. Elisa Marie Groh is a board-certified Radiation Oncologist from northern Germany with clinical research interests in thoracic and CNS Oncology, treatment-related toxicities, and palliative care. Dr. Groh completed her specialist training at the University Medical Centre Schleswig-Holstein, Campus Luebeck, where she continues to work as a consultant physician.
She is actively involved in clinical research and currently serve as deputy principal investigator of an international study on radiation-induced pneumonitis in elderly lung cancer patients. She started her Clinical Research Fellowship in Radiation Oncology at Odette Cancer Centre in January 2026, focusing on Lung, Head & Neck and Central Nervous System Oncology under the supervision of Drs. Alex Louie, Irene Karam, Liang Zeng and Arjun Sahgal.
Dr. Donna Liao completed her undergraduate and master’s degrees at the University of Toronto before moving to the west coast to pursue her medical degree at the University of British Columbia. She then returned to Toronto for her residency and fellowship training. Her fellowship has clinical and research focuses in genitourinary, gynecologic, and hematological malignancies.
Dr. Teuta Zoto Mustafayev completed her medical school and PhD in Pharmacology as part of the MD-PhD program in Hacettepe University, Türkiye. She completed her Radiation Oncology residency at the same university in 2017. Her previous work as Radiation Oncologist at Acibadem Maslak Hospital, Türkiye, focused mainly on stereotactic treatment toxicity, MR guided (Viewray Systems) and CBCT guided (Ethos) online adaptive radiotherapy. She has been working as Research Associate at Princess Margaret Cancer Centre focusing on online adaptive radiotherapy.
