The Vice Dean Research Office (VDRO) provides a grant editing service to investigators to help improve the effectiveness of proposals and increase grant success rates. This service is provided to on-campus investigators at no charge (and on a fee-for-service basis for hospital-based off-campus investigators). The service will enhance proposal organization, structure and grammar. It is not a scientific peer-review, which should be organized for faculty members through your academic unit.
For the upcoming March CIHR Operating Grants, investigators who wish to take advantage of our service should contact the VDRO via email as soon as possible with the following:
1. Your intent to submit proposal for editorial review with (a) name of PI, academic rank, department and (b) grant proposal title or topic (deadline Monday, January 16).
2. Full proposal in Word (not PDF) for editing (deadline Wednesday, February 1).
3. Confirmation of departmental scientific peer review.
