ABOUT MARIA
Maria Dimopoulos, PhD, MBA, RT(T)(ARRT), is an Assistant Professor at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in the Department of Radiation Oncology in New York City, where she leads the Center of Radiation Sciences Education. Dr. Dimopoulos received her PhD in Health Professions Leadership and Education from Pacific University, MBA in Healthcare from Simmons University, and Radiation Therapy Education at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. She is the Chair of the Radiation Therapy Association of New York State (RTANYS), serves on the Editorial Review Board for the Journal of Medical Imaging and Radiation Sciences (JMIRS) and is a member of the ASRT Foundation Research Grants and Advisory Panel. Dr. Dimopoulos’ passion and purpose meet at the corner of interpersonal skills training, mixed reality, and establishing the US advanced practice radiation therapy curriculum.
