UTDRO Radiation Oncology Residency Program – Successful Accreditation!

Accredited text in speech bubble

On November 23rd and 24th, the Radiation Oncology Residency Program went through the accreditation process with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. We are delighted to announce that it received Full Accreditation for an 8-year cycle!

This success is a testament to leadership and tremendous dedication of our Program Director Dr. Andrea Bezjak, along with her amazing team comprised of Drs. Meredith Giuliani and Hany Soliman, as well as our Vice Chair Education, Dr. Rebecca Wong. In particular, Dr. Bezjak has been a tireless advocate for our Radiation Oncology residents, ensuring that their training is both rigorous, and well supported.

We are also grateful for the deep commitment and dedication of our faculty, who provide the direct pedagogical experience for our residents. UTDRO is unquestionably enriched by the presence of our trainees, who constantly challenge and enlighten us. They are our future generation of radiation oncology leaders, who will continue to advance our field, and improve the outcome for our patients.

Congratulations once again to Dr. Bezjak and her team! We are also grateful to Catherine Wong, who provides the backbone for our UTDRO Radiation Oncology Residency Program, and our able UTDRO Administrative Team. Thank you all so much again, as we prepare for the next round of Accreditation in another 8 years!
