On June 15, 2016, UT-DRO celebrated the graduation of 6 of Physics Residents, 6 Radiation Oncology Residents and 17 Fellows at the historical Hart House Great Hall at U of T.
UT-DRO Chair Dr. Fei-Fei Liu kicked off the evening by congratulating the graduates and welcoming them to the UT-DRO alumni community. She noted that this year, UT-DRO is celebrating its 25th anniversary and the new alumni are welcome to join one of the several events that will take place during the year.
PGME Associate Dean Dr. Glen Bandiera also congratulated the graduates and acknowledged their many achievements.
Following the welcome addresses, several trainees and faculty members were recognized with an award ceremony. The directors of each program then presented the trainees with their certificates. The chief Radiation Oncology resident, chief Physics resident and chief fellow also took the floor to thank the program directors, their faculty members and colleagues.
The evening included a special ackowledgement of Dr. Jean-Pierre Bissonnette and Dr. Barbara-Ann Millar, who have both stepped down from their director positions.
