We are excited to share the resounding success of the UTDRO Post-Grad Graduation and Awards Ceremony held on June 10, 2024. Almost 140 attendees gathered at the Great Hall in Hart House to celebrate the exceptional achievements and awards of our talented graduates.

Dr. Laura Dawson, UTDRO Chair, opened the Ceremony with heartfelt congratulations. She acknowledged the determination of the UTDRO community to persevere in our ever-changing environment, demonstrate excellence and guide the future of medicine forward. Dr. Meredith Giuliani, Associate Dean, Postgraduate Medical Education (PGME) welcomed the graduates to the alumni community, highlighting the opportunities to keep connected and engaged in the future of UTDRO.

Awards and Certificate Ceremonies 2024

The significant highlight of the ceremony was distributing prestigious awards and certificates to our students and mentors, recognizing their outstanding contributions to research, teaching, clinical care and advocacy/mentorship.

Research Day Award Ceremony

Our Vice Chair of Research, Dr. Michael Milosevic, announced the seven award winners from UTDRO Research Day 2024.

Certificate Ceremony

UTDRO Education Leads, Dr. Andrea Bezjak, Director of the Radiation Oncology Residency Program, Dr.  Patricia Lindsay, Director of the Physics Residency Program, and Dr. Jennifer Croke, Director of the Fellowship Program, handed out graduation certificates to 30 outstanding graduands. These include 4 Radiation Oncology Residents, 5 Medical Physics Residents, and 21 Radiation Oncology Fellows. The chief trainees in each program also took the stage to speak on behalf of their classmates and recognize the leadership of their directors.
