Marianne Koritzinsky appointed as Director of Research, UTDRO

I am pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Marianne Koritzinsky as Director of Research in the University of Toronto Department of Radiation Oncology. Dr. Koritzinsky is an Assistant Professor in UT DRO and a Scientist at the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre. She is co-Director of the UT DRO Radiobiology course and the STARS21 (formerly EIRR21) training program for radiation medicine researchers, and has played a central role in adapting these curricula to reflect the changing needs of our students and trainees. I look forward to working with Dr. Koritzinsky to develop strategies for achieving research excellence in UTDRO, including strengthening research relationships with our affiliated hospitals and research institutes, building new external collaborations and partnerships and assuring that our junior faculty, residents, fellows and students have access to research mentors and other resources necessary for success.
