UTDRO congratulates Dr. Padraig Warde on his appointment to the 2022 Order of Ontario, the province's highest honor.

The Order of Ontario recognizes exceptional leaders from diverse fields whose impact and lasting legacy have played a pivotal role in building a stronger province, country, and world.

As a distinguished UTDRO faculty member and staff radiation oncologist at the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre, Dr. Warde's groundbreaking research and unwavering dedication to advancing patient care have significantly influenced cancer policy in Ontario, positively impacting the lives of countless individuals. The global resonance of his seminal studies on prostate cancer treatment speaks volumes. His compassion and steadfast commitment to improving access to quality cancer care place him among the highly esteemed ranks of the medical profession.

This prestigious recognition will be bestowed upon Dr. Warde by the incoming Lieutenant Governor, Edith Dumont, in a ceremony on November 27, 2023.
