Please join us in congratulating Dr. Alex Lightstone on his retirement from the Medical Physics Department. After 21 years at the Odette Cancer Centre, Dr. Lightstone will be retiring on November 28, 2013. He has been a valuable member of the Medical Physics Group. He started our HDR brachytherapy program in 1995 and has been a key/leading member of our stereotactic program including spear-heading the AAPM Task Group 68 on immobilization in radiosurgery. His other contributions were in the areas of tomotherapy, radiation safety, and orthovoltage.
We are grateful to Dr. Lightstone for his contributions to the program, and wish him the very best in his future endeavours.
Special thank you to Dr. Brian Keller for this note.
