We are pleased to announce that effective January 1, 2021, Dr. May Tsao has assumed the role of Vice Chair, Education, from Dr. Rebecca Wong. The Vice Chair, Education is a critical leadership role within UTDRO, and serves to develop both short and long-term strategies to ensure the highest standards for our education programs.
Dr. May Tsao is a radiation oncologist at the Odette Cancer Centre with an active clinical, research, and education practice. She has served as the UTDRO Undergraduate Medical Education Director (2008-2013), Applied Physics Course Coordinator, Peter-Boyd Academy Determinants of Community Health II Supervisor and Agency Research Supervisor, Transition to Residency Supervisor, and course supervisor for Human Anatomy. She has also contributed as a Royal College examiner, served as a member of the Medical Radiation Sciences Board of Examiners, and as an examiner for the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists Advanced Practice. Dr. Tsao brings vast experience and commitment to the dynamic UTDRO Education portfolio, and we look forward to working with her in this new capacity.
We would also like to extend our deepest gratitude to Dr. Wong who has completed her second term as Vice Chair of Education. Under her leadership, the Medical Radiation Sciences Program, the AFC Brachytherapy, and the Radiation Oncology Residency Program have all undergone their Accreditation Reviews, and received stellar ratings. We are deeply grateful for her relentless pursuit of excellence, and for her many years of unwavering commitment to UTDRO.
