The theme for the CARO ASM 2024 is Preparing for the Future: Resilience of Self and System.

Overall program objectives:

• Discover the latest advances in radiation oncology research and impact on clinical care and education  
• Understand relevant and current emergency situations faced by radiotherapy departments and promote preparedness and management strategies 
• Discuss factors that contribute to inequities and disparities in care within Canadian radiation oncology and develop strategies to promote equitable access to care  
• Develop and promote strategies for workforce retention and recruitment in radiation oncology  
• Describe best practices related to the delivery of high-quality and safe radiotherapy
