This has been another great year for U of T in global rankings. U of T has been consistently ranked as the best Canadian University for research activities. President Meric Gertler stated, "Our researchers continue to lead the world—second only to Harvard—in research productivity and research impact."
Times Higher Education World University Rankings placed U of T as 8th in the world for public universities, and 20th in the world for all universities. National Taiwan University Ranking placed U of T in 4th place globally, and according to QS World University Ranking, U of T is 20th globally and 1st in Canada.
