Happy New Year! We are pleased to invite you to attend the inaugural UT-DRO Journal Club taking place January 26, 2016 at Sunnybrook Estates.

The purpose of this event is to develop knowledge exchange and promote collaboration on clinical, research and educational initiatives within UT-DRO.

This event will take place regularly throughout the academic year (~4 times) in the evening with dinner. Each event will showcase a different subject and be presented by a team of UT-DRO faculty.

Title: Brain Metastases and Neurocognition: The Toronto Brief Neurocognitive Battery Project

Objectives:

  • To appreciate the importance and causes of neurocognitive deficits in patients with brain metastases
  • To identify tools to assess neurocognition and to be aware of the Toronto Brief Neurocognitive Battery being developed
  • To discuss technological advances and new radiation strategies that aim to spare neurocognition
