Technical details and Physics Developments in the MR-Linac - Brian Keller and Daniel Letourneau
Objectives:
- To understand the basics of an integrated MRI imager and linear accelerator
- To address some of the dosimetric challenges of the MR-Linac
- To review the potential benefits of such an integrated system for radiotherapy
- To outline some of the current physics related research and development
MR-Linac – CNS Applications - Eric Tseng
Objectives:
- To review ongoing predicate work in moving towards treatment of CNS patients on the MR-Linac
- To discuss potential applications of the MR-Linac in CNS and proposed future trials
MR-Linac – Liver applications - Laura Dawson
Objectives:
- To review rationale for MR-Linac in primary and metastatic liver cancer
- To discuss potential trials and workflow for MR-Linac in liver cancer
Integrating the MR-Linac into Radiation Therapy Practice - Mikki Campbell and Winnie Li
Objectives:
- To review the strengths, challenges and clinical implications of the MR-Linac on radiation therapy practice
- To discuss what scope of practice changes will emerge from the implementation of the MR-Linac and the impact it will have on education and regulation
