UTDRO is proud to congratulate our professor, Dr. David Kirsch, on his election to the National Academy of Medicine (NAM) - one of the highest honours in health and medicine, recognizing individuals who have made exceptional contributions to science, clinical care, and service.
Dr. Kirsch was elected to NAM for his internationally recognized research advancing the understanding and treatment of sarcomas, rare cancers of the bone and soft tissue. Through advanced pre-clinical models and transformative clinical trials, his work has helped shape new therapies and improve outcomes for patients worldwide. This achievement reflects Dr. Kirsch’s leadership, innovation, and impact in radiation oncology.
The National Academy of Medicine elected 90 regular members and 10 international members this year, bringing its total membership to more than 2,500. Members are chosen by their peers for exceptional professional achievement and commitment to advancing health and medicine.
